What Is Pawanmuktasana?
Pawanmuktasana refers to the asana which cures all kinds of mind and body blockages and thus promotes overall health. Pawan means "vayu" or air, mukta means "release", asana means "pose".
This asana can be performed by people of all age groups. 1. Lie down on your back straighten up your whole body stretching your legs in alignment with your body.
2. Now, take deep breaths for a while, and while inhaling lift your right leg and also lift your head up and try to touch the nose to the right knee.
3. While bringing it closer to your nose exhale and take normal breaths.
4. Hold on for some time and then again repeat the same process from the other side.
This asana can yield better results if performed on an empty stomach early in the morning. Before practicing this asana it is advisable to perform subtle exercises or sukshma pranayam as this asana can be performed efficiently.
